Logical Link Control

An IEEE 802 local area network can perform a best effort datagram service, which is enough for some IP packets. The IEEE 802.2 standards define the LLC (Logical Link Control), which identifies four distinct ?classes? of LLC operation enabling it to control the levels of service.
