Cut and Paste Attack
This is an active attack in which an attacker substitutes a portion of ciphertext with another. The goal is for the subsequently decrypted plaintext to cause a particular response, from which the attacker collects and gains some knowledge of the key and algorithm which can be used to carry out a full scale attack.
