DSLAM
DSL Access Multiplexer
A DSLAM (DSL Access Multiplexer) is used to deliver exceptionally high-speed data transmission over existing copper telephone lines. It separates the voice frequency signals from the high-speed data traffic and controls, thus routing DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) traffic between the subscriber's end-user equipment, e.g. router or modem, and the service provider's network.
