Outline and Objectives:

Second generation mobile networks have revolutionised voice services, and with the introduction of 2.5 and 3G data services are revolutionising Internet access and data applications. This course provides a solid grounding in the key protocols, architecture and elements of GSM and GPRS networks, and in the capabilities and limitations of Radio Access Networks (RANs) for mobile communications.
