Introduction to xDSL Networks and Services
Key Information
Prerequisites:
None, although some familiarity with IP or transmission networks is desirable
Outline and Objectives:
Encouraged by regulatory changes, Asymmetric DSL (ADSL) has begun to dominate high-speed Internet access for residential and small business users in many countries. VDSL and ADSL2+ promise still higher speeds to end users in the next few years, and symmetric versions such as SHDSL offer new transport options for fixed and mobile operator back haul. Cable modems and wireless alternatives will also compete in this broadband access space. This course gives a comprehensive treatment of the DSL alternatives and of competing technologies.
Who Should Attend:
This course is suitable for anyone working in the development, engineering, implementation, support or products of DSL solutions, including cross-training engineers, product managers and engineering managers.
