MAC Address
This is often referred to as a ?hardware? address and uniquely identifies a device within a defined network area such as a LAN (Local Area Network). A common example of a MAC address would be an Ethernet address which will be associated with an Ethernet NIC (Network Interface Card) used be all computers connected on an Ethernet LAN.
