Serving Mobile Location Centre
The Serving Mobile Location Centre is found within a PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) and is used to calculate positional information and coordinate location based services. An SMLC controls a number of LMU (Location Measurement Unit) in order to obtain radio interface measurements require to locate or help to locate a specific subscriber.
