Temporal Key Integrity Protocol

This is a security protocol used within the IEEE 802.11i specifications for Wi-Fi networks. TKIP introduces a sophisticated key generation function which encrypts every data packet sent over the wireless medium (air interface) with its own unique encryption key. This increases the complexity of decoding the keys by reducing the amount of data available to the hacker, that has been encrypted using a particular key.
