Virtual Channel/Virtual Circuit
The communication channel associated with a VCC (Virtual Channel Connection) that provides for the transport of ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) cells. More generally a communications arrangement in which data from a source user may be passed to a destination user over various real circuit configurations during a single period of communication.
